• The eFootball™ Championship Open is the largest official worldwide eSports tournament for eFootball™, and is available for everyone to participate!
• Round 1, which will start from January 2023, will not require any special application process; You can automatically join the tournament by taking part in the Challenge Events in-game.
• After completing Round 1, participants will continue disputing through Round 2 and Round 3, before eventually earning a berth to the Online Finals which will be held in early June. Those who come out on top in the Online Finals will then proceed to the World Finals in late August.
• Matches from the Online Finals and onwards will be available for watching worldwide, and the Console Category* will be held on PlayStation® exclusively.
• This is the first time in 3 years that the World Finals will be held offline! On top of that, the matches will be streamed globally in real time.
• Mobile users will be able to participate in the Mobile Category, also with a chance to play in the World Finals.
• To add extra spice to the Online Finals, some eSports players will join the tournament at this stage! These professional players are playing in the eFootball™ Championship Pro 2023, so you can be sure that they will provide some exciting spectacles.

*"Console Category" is the general term given to describe the "PlayStation® Category", "Steam® Category" and "Xbox Category".

     Schedule    

Round 1

• Simply partake in specific limited-time Challenge Events to have your entry registered automatically. For details on the Challenge Events, check the table below.
• You will use your Dream Team in this stage of the tournament.
• Clearing Challenge 5 will win you a berth in Round 2, which will be held in the following week.
• Note that you can participate in Round 1 as many times as you wish.
• Round 1 will be held throughout 4 periods (1st - 4th Qualifiers), so you will have various opportunities to join the tournament.
• Round 1 is eligible for Campaign Objectives, so you will be able to get your hands on a wide variety of rewards.
• Note that Microsoft (Windows) participants will only be able to participate in Round 1.
• Note that the area of your entry will be defined by the Country/Region you chose when you first started playing the game. Furthermore, you will not be able to change your area later on.

*Round 1 to Round 3 will be held amongst users that reside in the Country/Region you chose when you first started playing the game.

*For the eFootball™ Championship Open 2023 4th Qualifiers Round 1 which commenced on 24/04/2023 02:00 (UTC), only users who have successfully cleared Challenge 5 by 01/05/2023 01:59 (UTC) will progress to 4th Qualifiers Round 2.

*Although rewards will still be available, you will not qualify for 4th Qualifiers Round 2 if you clear Challenge 5 after 01/05/2023 02:00 (UTC).

Round 2

• Only those who have cleared Round 1 (Challenge 5) are eligible to participate.
• The results of every participant will be tallied and displayed in the tournament's Ranking Page. Note that only the latest 15 matches that you play in the Challenge Event will count towards your ranking.
• To proceed to Round 3, you will need to finish in the top 16 of your platform in your area.
• Users under user-generated content restrictions (Username displayed as [*user]) : You will be able to participate in Round 2, but you will not be able to advance to Round 3 as you are ineligible for rankings.
• Users with their Username displayed as [*user] in-game are under user-generated content restrictions.

• The eFootball™2023 Terms of Use will be in effect throughout the entire eFootball™ Championship Open tournament.
• Any violation of the Terms of Use will result in disqualification from the tournament, regardless of the offending user's performance up to that point. Furthermore, offending users may have sanctions applied to their accounts in accordance with the Terms of Use.
• Entries from both PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 will be considered as the "PlayStation® Category" (namely, there will not be any differentiation between them).
• Entries from Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will all be considered as the "Xbox Category" (namely, there will not be any differentiation between them).
• Note that the area you join will be defined by the Country/Region you chose when you started playing the game. Furthermore, you will not be able to change your area later on.
• You cannot change platforms or categories after the tournament has commenced. For example, if you decided to participate via your mobile device, you will be entering the tournament in the "Mobile Category" and cannot change to a PlayStation® in the middle of the tournament. Furthermore, remember that even if you entered the Console Category via Xbox or Steam®, you will have to switch to a PlayStation® device at the timing of the Online Finals stage.
• The rewards you receive for completing the challenges during the eFootball™ Championship Open will be sent in-game.

• The tournament is only available to players of the countries and regions in which the Game is officially available. Those who are outside such countries and regions may not participate.
• To advance to Round 3 you must be able to use “Discord”, an online messaging application, for us to contact you either directly or through our service provider(s) undertaking the tournament management. On top of that, you will also need to have a KONAMI ID.
