After a thrilling opener day for the 2023 season, the competition continues tomorrow Saturday with another four exciting match-ups. All clubs have had three weeks to review their performances in recent matches and prepare for their next game. Some will be looking to make amends for past bad results, while others will be hoping to maintain their form and continue to outscore their rivals. But what is clear is that from this round onwards, positions will be consolidated and results will shed more light on who will be the main contenders for the title.
FC BARCELONA - FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN
Catalans against Bavarians as the starter of the day. The former go into their second game with 5 points in their pocket and currently occupying 4th place after 2 draws and Ettorito's win against Manchester United. The Germans arrive in second place, eager to challenge for the top spot, and with 7 points earned against AS Monaco thanks to a draw from FCB_Mestre against Usmakabyle and two wins of FCB_Jose and Mucahit21, who due to force majeure will miss this matchday and will be replaced by the young talent Joao. The result of this match could mean a momentary change at the top of the table pending what AC Milan do in the last match of the day.
Second match of the day for two clubs who aspire to more. The Nerazzurri need to start scoring points to avoid falling behind in the title race. Their first match against their eternal rivals, AC Milan, did not go as they would have liked after 3 defeats and 0 points. They will surely want to make up for their disappointing performance by winning their next 3 games against the Gunners, who come into the match in 5th place with only 3 points against AS Roma thanks to Roksa22's win against ASR_Gagliardo28. The Brits are looking to climb the table but the Italians' hunger for points could be a barrier in their way.
A rematch of last year's semifinal that ended in victory for AS Monaco. The reigning champions took just 1 point out of a possible 9 against FC Bayern on matchday 1, dropping to the penultimate place in the table. Usmakabyle was the only Monegasque player to score points, so presumably he and teammates Kams10_ and E_C_Oneill will want to win their respective games to get back into the title race. It won't be easy for them, as they will be up against an always tough AS Roma side who are currently resting in third place. After picking up six points thanks to the victories of ASR_URMA47 and ASR_STIFFLER against Arsenal FC, the Giallorossi will be hoping to finish the round even higher and establish themselves as the team to beat for the trophy.
The last match of the day brings us a classic of European football. The Red Devils finished the first day of the season disappointed with their result against FC Barcelona in which they got only 2 draws. The talented Lotfi, Kilzyou and Nekza are aware that they can deliver a better version of what is expected of them and will certainly come to prove it against an AC Milan side who also want to show that their opening day performance had nothing to do with the debutant's luck. The Rossoneri won all three of their matches against FC Inter in the Madonnina derby and emerged as undisputed leaders of the table to the surprise of those present. So, in this second round, Milan's three Italian players will want to hold on to top spot and make it clear that they have arrived new this season to challenge for the title against the best.
