Barcelona, February 10, 2024 - The atmosphere was electric as the much-anticipated, FC Barcelona Club Finals of the eFootball™ Championship 2024 unfolded in Barcelona last 10th February. In a day filled with intense clashes and remarkable displays of skill, two players emerged as the undisputed champions in their respective platforms: the American LaCasAA on mobile and the Brazilian FuTeFacil, former 2022 World Finals Champion, on console.
In a competition that drew participants from every corner of the globe, FuTeFacil clinched victory on the console platform, while LaCasAA showcased dominance on the mobile platform, solidifying their roles as the representatives of FC Barcelona in the upcoming World Finals set to be held this summer in Tokyo.
The event stood out for its innovative format, featuring simultaneous matches on both console and mobile platforms, adding to the excitement and intensity of the competition. Each contender navigated through six challenging matches in the group stage, employing a round-robin format at a single game, to secure their spot in the Grand Finals. The results of the contested matches were as follows:
2 HARD-FOUGHT GRAND FINALS TO CLOSE THE EVENT ON A HIGH NOTE
In the console grand final, FuTeFacil, former 2022 World Finals Champion in eFootball™ PS5 went head-to-head against three-time eFootball world champion Woody_research57, widely known as Usmakabyle. Following a tightly contested match that ended in a 1-1 draw, FuTeFacil emerged triumphant after a thrilling penalty shootout, with a final scoreline of 4-5 in his favor.
Meanwhile, in the mobile platform final, LaCasAA faced off against Morocco's AN10_Tienes in an intense showdown filled with skill and determination. Mirroring the console final, the match concluded with a 1-1 draw, and LaCasAA ultimately claimed victory in the penalty shootout with an impressive 3-4 scoreline.
As the champions of the FC Barcelona Club Finals, FuTeFacil and LaCasAA will jet off to Tokyo to represent FC Barcelona in the World Finals this summer. In addition to the honor of representing the illustrious club, both players were presented with a FC Barcelona first-team signed jersey and two Honor Seats tickets for the league match FC Barcelona - Granada CF on Sunday, February 11.
